올해 장마는 작년과 비슷하거나 더 길어질 것으로 예상됩니다. 그 이유는 바로 '엘니뇨 현상' 때문인데요. 엘니뇨 현상은 태평양의 해수면 온도가 정상보다 높아지는 기후 현상을 말합니다. 이 현상은 열대 태평양 지역에서 발생하며 전 세계적으로 기후 변동에 영향을 미칩니다. 장마가 남쪽에서 올라오는 뜨거운 수증기와 태풍에 영향을 받는 만큼 엘니뇨 현상의 영향을 피해 갈 수 없습니다. 올해 엘니뇨 현상은 정말 심해서 '슈퍼 엘니뇨'라고 불리는데 이 때문에 더욱 장마에 대비를 잘해야겠습니다.
